The Dressel Residence was constructed in 2007. Built on a wooded site along Woodland Road at Lake Naomi, the project involved design and construction of a new residence which would satisfy the needs of the owners and adhere to strict covenants of the neighborhood association, as well as applicable zoning regulations.
Feelings of warmth and openness are provided in the interior spaces, using an abundance of wood and other natural materials, with glass areas minimized near the public entrance for privacy, while larger glass areas capture expansive views of the lake. Layout of the building was designed to minimize the effect of construction on existing trees and other natural terrain features, and additional landscaping was provided to further enhance the woodland effect.
